New Church in Springfield, TN

churchphoto.JPG    We are excited to announce a new Seventh-day Adventist church here in Springfield, Tennessee.  Located at the intersection of Old Highway 41 and Highway 161, it is aptly named Crossroads.  We have a vision of being a church who welcomes anyone who walks into our front (or back) doors.  We are meeting at 10 a.m. each Saturday morning.  We study the Bible, pray, and worship God.  After the morning service is over, we invite everyone to join us for lunch in the annex building located behind the church.  The theme for lunch varies from week to week.  We've had menus that range from soup and salad to chili or pasta.  Each member brings something to contribute.

We are so thankful to God for providing this church to us with no costs attached, besides utility costs.  The building was formerly an independent Baptist Church.  When the congregation that had been meeting there dwindled to a very small number of members, the pastor contacted two of our members, Marie and Melvin Christian, and asked if they would like to use it for services.  The pastor felt convicted that the building should continue being used as a church.  Marie and Melvin agreed to take over use of the building, and so our new church began its life.  We have been meeting since the middle of September 2009.

We invite you to join us on Saturday for church.  We look forward to seeing you!
